They look innocent enough, but Karen and Pat got into some
trouble while here in SB for the Ph.D. finale celebrations. It's good
when moms and mother-in-laws get along... until they start buying things off
craigslist* and marching to all the thrift stores in town**.

*They bought a loom. The Dads packed it up.
**They almost missed Tom's seminar. Thrift storing would have
been an acceptable excuse.
